Why I became a Dentist
I get this question a lot. People can’t believe it when I tell them, but I made the decision to become a dentist at the age of 12. Growing up I had a lot of problems with my own teeth. My teeth were overcrowded and needed extensive Orthodontics on two separate occasions, lasting four years in total. I also had several extractions including my 3rd molars—also known as wisdom teeth—and “extra” front teeth called mesiodens. Through my extensive dental history I was treated with kindness and compassion from my general dentist, orthodontist, and periodontist. All of them had such an impact not only on my smile and oral health, but my confidence as well. I strive to provide all of my patient with the quality of care that was provided to me.
I grew up in Eastern Washington before moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington School of Dentistry. I have developed a passion for Western Washington and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. When I’m not at the practice, you can find me skiing, wake-boarding, golfing, fishing and camping.
